Burning up

Here in Japan (well at least on base) it seems that every building keeps the heat on full blast. Right now it is so hot in the building we are staying in, that I have turned the heat off (actually an impossibility, because even though the knob says it's off, I can still feel a little heat coming from it) and have opened the window (43 degrees Fahrenheit outside) and still, it's hot enough in here that we can't use blankets, DD (darling daughter) is sleeping in a onesie and DH (dear husband) is sleeping in shorts.

It's no wonder the navy says the utility bills will be so high!
